Head of Research, Asia Pacific
Dr Megan Walters leads an experienced team producing cutting-edge insights and in-depth reports on key trends around the region. She is also a member of the JLL Global Research Executive, with responsibility for the Global Office Leasing Group.
Megan joined JLL in 2010 as Head of Research, Asia Pacific Capital Markets, a role responsible for advising investor clients and generating publications across real estate industries. In 2016 she took on her current role overseeing all of the region’s research and data analysis, including JLL’s Real Estate Intelligence Service, a leading market-research service for real estate.
In addition to working at JLL, Megan is a Fellow of RICS, sits on the research committees of ANREV and APREA, and is an active member of ULI and their Women’s Leadership Initiative. Megan previously held an Adjunct Associate Professor position at National University of Singapore and served on the RICS International Governing Council from 2009 to 2015.
Megan earned a PhD from the University of Hong Kong in Institutional Economics of Real Estate. Her academic interests have focused on the issues of multiple ownership property, and property rights on urban environments and city development.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys learning the piano, and occasionally cycling to a nice restaurant.
