Who is female inspiration and role model to you and why?

My role model is my mother. I admire her perfection, inclusive nature, compassion and zest for life. She always inspired me to overcome “hard times” and imbibe the values of inclusion.

She is an example of leadership that she lives without a “corporate title”. She has taught me much more than I could have ever learnt from any book, and all that she gave me has always been unconditional.

In the corporate environment, most women I am associated with have been a source of inspiration and have created a difference in my life.

Why does inclusion matter to you?

For me, inclusion is acceptance – making one feel comfortable and included, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or religion. Inclusive culture enhances engagement and allows people to share their views without fear. As leaders and team members, we should continue to bring this culture within the organisation.

I believe inclusion leads to a diverse workforce that brings a broader range of thoughts, increases creativity, boosts productivity, and improves the organisation’s talent pool letting everyone thrive and achieve their ambitions.

How do you inspire women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?

I am privileged to be part of a wonderful organisation that provides the best platform for professional growth through various channels.

I wanted to explore opportunities for women in the Engineering Services sector. And I’m so pleased to have successfully appointed, or rather introduced women engineers, bringing gender diversity in this functional area, which is rare. It’s important to have conversations to understand one’s vision and align with the organisation culture.

As a woman, I aim to continue this journey by encouraging and giving women equal opportunities and mentoring them to enhance their skillset and achieve their career aspirations.
