Head - Workplace Agility Solutions, India
This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Every single woman I’ve met in my journey until now has uniquely inspired me. However, the path-breaking tennis ace Sania Mirza is my female inspiration. When sports in this part of the world wasn’t parents’ first choice of career for their children, as compared to traditional streams, Sania Mirza changed the perception of Indian women in the global sports arena. This winner of six Grand Slam Titles gave a new dimension to the dreams of our youth and inspired many to step beyond the stereotype conventions.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
An inclusive workplace is more efficient and progressive that makes everyone feel valued while acknowledging and accepting their differences. It is crucial to embrace one’s full authentic and genuine self. We’re at our best and able to give our finest when we are allowed to be our true selves with no pretension. But it is possible only when one gets a sense of inclusion and feels welcomed. Only then, one can fully contribute to the overall success of an organisation.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
Today’s woman embodies confidence and clear vision. And I play the role of an “enabler”. I encourage them and ensure that they benefit from all opportunities JLL offers – from development and training perspective to nurturing their talent. Most importantly, I share with them my experiences – the lessons that I’ve learned through the various chapters of my life.
