Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Many ‘SHE-roes’ – women, who make things happen, create a difference, take risks, overcome challenges, inspire me. However, there is one special woman who has made a real difference in my life. That’s my MOM.
She may not have had a great education or job experience. But she has always been my role model and my greatest strength. Her immense positivity, calm approach to any given situation and “never to give up” attitude is something I try to practice daily. She had been a firm believer of women’s financial independence. Because it gives them a sense of self-worth, builds up confidence and empowers them. A hardworking and kind-hearted woman, she has been my role model since an early age.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
Every employee should be valued and respected irrespective of their gender or race. Inclusion helps us to create a healthier work environment that promotes a positive work culture. When employees feel included, they get a sense of belonging that leads to better teamwork and collaboration.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
I feel Diversity & Inclusion is in the DNA of every employee at JLL. The firm constantly demonstrates the same through various actions.
I believe in leading by example. Therefore, I try to demonstrate my positive attitude and passion for what I do. I enjoy sharing my experience/challenges with the team's young women, so they feel inspired. I ensure to invest time in mentoring them and helping them achieve their goals.
