CHICAGO Jan. 23, 2019 JLL (NYSE:JLL) announced today that Mary Bilbrey has been promoted to Global Chief Human Resources Officer from her current role as Americas CHRO. The change is effective February 1, and she will continue to oversee human resources in the Americas region until her successor is named.

Bilbrey succeeds Trish Maxson as Global CHRO. Maxson maintains her roles as Chief Administrative Officer and interim CFO.

Bilbrey joined JLL in early 2016 as CHRO for the Americas. With her extensive HR expertise and experience in leading human resources through strategic change, she has been integral to transforming JLL’s HR operating model to align more closely with the company’s long-term growth plans.

Prior to joining JLL, Bilbrey held a succession of senior HR leadership roles for HSBC, based at different times in the U.S. and in Europe. She was the Head of Human Resources for HSBC USA and, prior to that, held several leadership roles in HSBC’s London headquarters. Previously, she held various positions focused on compensation, benefits, and mergers and acquisitions.

Maxson commented: “In working with Mary over the past three years, I have seen first-hand her ability to bring transformational human resources best practices and innovations to the business. She is dedicated to developing a highly talented and engaged workforce, which will continue to enable our Beyond growth strategy and contribute to JLL’s success now and into the future.”

Bilbrey earned a Master’s of Science degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Illinois State University. She is a member of the governing body of the Chicago CHRO Leadership Summit and also a member of the Peer150 Human Resources Group in Chicago.
