Opening frozen doors
JLL helped shape the logistics company’s intent in bringing cold-chain excellence to Kochi and expand in the region.
2700 Pallet Capacity (Full Capacity)
With a decade-long existence in the logistics industry, this iconic cold chain provider Coldrush Logistics Pvt. Ltd. already spans across the country. They are confidently moving forward with their expansion plans. Defying all uncertainties and challenges of 2020, the firm decided to set its footprint in Kochi, Kerala, as their 12th cold storage destination in India.
Their goal was to bring logistics excellence to this southern state. JLL provided its transaction management expertise to accomplish that purpose, helping the client expand their presence in the region.
Coldrush Logistics Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading cold chain operators who handle temperature-sensitive products for numerous industries. In a short span from its inception in 2012, the company has successfully spread its operations in 12 cities across India, including Pune, Mumbai, Kheda, Indore, Kanpur, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Vizag, Mehsana, Banur, and now in Kochi.
The company proposes to operate an advanced cold storage warehousing in Kochi, with a 2,700 frozen pallet capacity. They envisioned the facility to be backed with the latest technology, modern equipment, power reliability and top-quality infrastructure.
JLL’s PAGI team provided transaction services to the client. Specialising in Ports, Airports and Global Infrastructure (PAGI) projects, the team provided the client with sectoral expertise, industry experience and in-depth knowledge on the segment. The team was instrumental in identifying a built-to-suit project site in Kochi, with capacity for further expansion.
As a commitment to provide clients with cost efficiencies, JLL supported both the logistics company and the landlord to reach consensus on commercial terms, profitable and viable for both the parties.
While the transaction helped the logistics firm set their foot on new turf, JLL debuted its expertise in the cold storage sector. As a partnership starts with this reputed firm, we expect more deals to kick-start in the cold chain domain.
